  • Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future

We're thrilled to be celebrating an important milestone this year - 150 years in business. It's not often that companies are able to achieve this level of longevity, and we dedicate our ability to do so to our associates. To the people of Morley. To the thousands of individuals who, since 1863, have contributed to our corporate culture that is so strong today.

When Morley was founded, it was as a family-owned hardware store that served the lumber barons of the mid-19th century. Over the years, our company earned a reputation for helping people accomplish great things. For example:

    • In the early 1900s, when one of the first automotive manufacturers asked R.C. Morley for a loan, R.C. extended him a 180-day line of credit, setting the standard for other suppliers.
    • During the Great Depression, Morley supplied $500,000 to help the City of Saginaw meet payroll, saving our town from bankruptcy.
    • When the founder of what is now a world-leading chemical company was beginning to contemplate how to raise capital to initiate his company, the Morley family was there to invest and assist in identifying additional investors, helping to launch what is now a Fortune 100 company in our own backyard.

There are dozens of stories like this throughout our history. We're tremendously proud of our past and the people in it who laid the foundation for the character and the future of our company.

Now, in 2013, we're still in the business of helping people accomplish great things. Our toolbox is quite different, but our passion for providing clients with great solutions and outstanding service remains the same. We're inspired by our associates' dedication to future-forward thinking and eagerly anticipate what the next 150 years brings.

Thank you for being part of our journey,

    Louis, Paul & Chris Furlo
